News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

| September 3, 2018

Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

This week sees PYP 3 sitting their MAP test and Grade 7 sitting both MAP and Callido tests. This is part of a focussed drive by the school to improve quality assurance processes. The purpose of these assessments, in mathematics, writing, reading and for Grade 7 in study skills, is to triangulate our internal data with information from outside sources. This will provide information on student achievement, the quality of our programmes and help us to better individualise programmes to enhance student success. This, alongside our upcoming visit by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an international educational accreditation agency, will help us to identify our strengths and work to address any gaps in order to produce the very best outcomes for our students.WASC will investigate every aspect of our school in order to ensure that our performance is congruent with international benchmarks for education. Over the next few weeks and months, we look forward to receiving assessment results and really focussing on what we need to do to improve our performance within the school across the board.

Have a great week.
