Executive Principals Welcome

I am pleased to be able to introduce our school to you. Much has been achieved since Yayasan Ciputra Pendidikan founded the school in 1996. Today Sekolah Ciputra is an international school and one of the most highly regarded IB Continuum Schools in Indonesia. As such students can enjoy an IBO education throughout their schooling career whilst the school itself is regularly audited to ensure it lives up to the highest of international standards. We believe that our International IB students are truly global citizens. Sekolah Ciputra is going from strength to strength with its highest student roll ever accompanied by our best ever academic results!

At Sekolah Ciputra our Motto is Non-Scholae Sed Vitae Discimus : We learn not for school but for life. This affirms our commitment to life-long learning in a real life context. We place our emphasis on holistic education. The curriculum is broad and balanced with programmes that support the growth of the developing child, encompassing academic, ethical, social, physical, emotional and cultural needs. Students are guided to become independent learners and well-rounded individuals who have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to prepare them for life in the 21st century. The school’s programmes support students to be compassionate citizens who are respectful and accepting of cultural diversity while retaining and valuing their own culture and language. We place child protection at a premium and ensure the highest standards in policy, process and staff recruitment.

We take pride in the many activities and learning opportunities our children are exposed to. Additionally our facilities are internationally first class. Every classroom at Sekolah Ciputra has a Smart Board or large screen TV and every teacher at the school has completed training to ensure effective use of technology. Ciputra Hall, our Performing Arts Centre, is capable of seating 710 and uses state of the art technology, to serve the students of Sekolah Ciputra as well as the wider community. Our new Pre Elementary School building is a purpose built, state-of-the-art facility.

In the last few years, teams of our students have competed in the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) locally, in Bangkok, Dubai, Melbourne and Singapore in the Regional Rounds, and travelled to the US for the Tournament of Champions at Yale. Most excitingly, Sekolah Ciputra hosts a round of the WSC. We also hosted our first Model United Nations (MUN) recently and students attended Bali,Taiwan and the United States conferences. Students have many opportunities to explore the world around them. Some engage in video conferencing for the Model United Nations, some support and attend environmental workshops around the world, whilst others go overseas on cultural exchange programmes. Students can learn a musical instrument at school from qualified tutors, enjoy a wide variety of extra-curricular activities and, of course, play many different sports both internally and as representatives of the school.  We maintain a very active website which highlights student participation in a wide range of activities. Academically, last year was the best year in the school’s history. In the IB Diploma Programme examinations, 96% of our IB cohort achieved the full Diploma. We had two scores in the 40’s. The average grade in the DP has been increasing steadily over the last five years and now sits above 5 (out of a maximum of 7): a wonderful achievement for students, the majority of whom complete the examinations in their second language.  This truly fits with our mission. Students of Sekolah Ciputra are proud of their national identity, embrace the spirit of entrepreneurship, celebrate cultural diversity and possess the skills, integrity and resilience to participate in a changing global society.

Please come and see us at the school. We pride ourselves on the fact that every day is an open day. You will be assured of a warm welcome and more information on our programmes and activities.
