Music Club (Ensemble, band, choir)
Students can participate at lunchtimes in competitions such as soccer, basketball, chess and futsal. Often organized by OSIS (the student leadership programme), the games are supervised by teachers. These popular competitions run in most terms and the winners are awarded certificates at the end-of-term assembly.
These activities are run after school (3.00 – 4.00 pm) by volunteer teachers or outside providers. Recent activities have included Football Skills (provided by an accredited coach), Volleyball for Girls, Mountaineering Prep, Table Tennis, Basketball for Boys and Girls, Traditional Dance, Photography, Chinese and Praise and Worship. Some of these activities may require a small fee to participate.
Preparation for events like the World Scholar’s Cup and Oxford Youth Elite may occur on Saturday morning to give time for rehearsals and practice.
Saturday morning sport activities are designed for students who want intensive and regular training sessions in basketball or soccer and are run according to age and gender. Sport activities run every Saturday morning (08.00-12.00 am). There is a small fee to participate.
