Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

Congratulations to the Pre-elementary on a wonderful Open Day. It was fabulous to have the opportunity for prospective parents to enter the teaching space and witness the main facets of our teaching and learning that make us such an outstanding international school. The range of activities, the physical layout of the building, playgrounds and classrooms as well as the passion and enthusiasm of the staff was evident. As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, there are already cohorts full and waiting lists at different grade levels. Taking the opportunity to get accepted in the Early Years is a great way of ensuring a space at Sekolah Ciputra.

You will have received a letter last week outlining the procedure the school takes when someone has been at school whilst infectious with Covid. This is likely to be an ongoing feature as we see Omicron numbers swell in the community. We and the Education Ministry have made it very clear that the ultimate decision about your child attending school for offline learning rests with you, the parents. You need to balance the obvious benefits of learning face to face with the risks of Omicron. We will continue to randomly test, maintain protocols and work closely with our own and governmental task forces. As I write this the Grade 12 and PYP A cohorts are online learning only.  

Finally good luck to the Grade 12s as they prepare for their mock examinations. The information you get from your results will be priceless in your preparation for the IBDP examinations later in the year.
