Hi, my name is Calvin Ibrahim and a proud Sekolah Ciputra alumni!
After graduating from Sekolah Ciputra in 2012, I went to the US to continue my education. I ended up with a degree in electrical engineering and physics. However, pursuing a higher degree in a foreign country, with a different culture, and far away from your friends and family has its challenges. I remember the first time preparing dinner on my own and forgetting to wash the rice beforehand, or the time I got scowled by a waiter for not leaving a tip (you have to tip in the US!), or driving on the wrong side of the road. Nevertheless, the friends I made along the way, and the lessons I learned inside and outside of school made studying aboard an exciting and rewarding experience.
For those of you that are graduating or a proud parent, rest assured, you are in safe hands. I had been with Sekolah Ciputra since the beginning, from Play Group to Grade 12. I sat in the same seat as you/your child. I was a proud Grade 12 Sci 2 student, and guess what! I turned out just fine. My only advice for those of you that are graduating is to try to make the most out of the opportunity that your parents and teachers have given you, and be grateful for it.
