My name is Beatrix Serafina Handoko, from Grade 12

Creating my own business has always been my dream because I find it more interesting to learn new things through experience. At first, it was scary because I didn’t know how to market my product, however, I also thought that this could be a good idea to implement what I’ve learned in IB business management. Recently I got really bad food allergies as well and couldn’t eat most of the common foods available. Hence, I created “Unefille Reveuse”, meaning “a girl’s dream” in French which sells healthier alternatives of allergy-friendly foods. Moreover, with Unefille Reveuse, I hope to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy diet for our overall body.

Around March 2023, I published and started marketing my brand on social media platforms (including Instagram and TikTok). During that period, I was still selling innovative bread (bread with a melted vla on the inside). However, I recognized that it would be hard for me to achieve external customers (not only my friends as customers). Therefore, I created a vision and mission to create healthier alternatives of allergy-friendly foods, which was officially released on July 14th, 2023.

Currently, Unefille Reveuse has two products, banana bread and muesli crunch (similar to granola). Store-bought banana bread most of the time consists of eggs and flour. Our banana bread is gluten-free, eggless, dairy-free, vegan, and doesn’t contain any preservatives, artificial sugar, or gums, yet it still tastes just like ordinary delicious banana bread. Our muesli crunch has both vegan and non-vegan options, doesn’t have any preservatives, artificial sugar, or gums, is gluten-free, dairy-free, and is high in protein!
