Graduation year: 2015

What was the best thing about Sekolah Ciputra? Tell us something memorable from your time at Sekolah Ciputra.

The best thing about Sekolah Ciputra is that it is a school that offers a variety of programmes that help shape students into well-balanced individuals. The school places high values on academics and discipline, but it is also a school that support students in other areas such as the arts, sports, social events, and many more. One of my most memorable memories from Sekolah Ciputra is graduating in Grade 10 MYP while witnessing the DBL boys basketball team advancing into the top 6 on the same day! Talk about a school that wholeheartedly supports you in all areas of life!

Would you recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others? If yes, what would you say about it?

Yes! The facilities in Sekolah Ciputra are amazing! I highly encourage students here to explore as much of their interests as possible! Join the sports team! Join the student council! Form a band! Join a science club! The possibilities are endless because Sekolah Ciputra can support the students with their amazing facilities. I also believe that the teachers are going to support and guide students as they discover their passions.

Where did you go to university? What did you study? Can you please share your experience applying to the Uni?

I went to University of New South Wales, Sydney. I did a double major in Accounting & Finance. Applying to university was much easier because I took the IB Diploma programme when I was in Sekolah Ciputra. Therefore, I did not need to submit additional documents such as IELTS & TOEFL. IB scores are highly recognised around the world and helps with the university application process in countries like Australia, Canada, and many others.

What kind of work are you currently doing? In what way has the school contributed to your job right now?

I am currently working as a Financial Business Analyst in a start-up company in Jakarta! My school definitely contributed to me getting this job because UNSW is one of the top 8 universities in Australia. It also has one the best Accounting and Finance programmes in the world! I am proud to be a graduate from UNSW, and now I am blessed to have gotten a job position that requires the COO to put a lot of trust in me.

What advice would you give to a graduating student?

The learning continues. Please put aside your pride and ego. You don’t have to have all the answers once you graduate. Go work hard, go hustle, and find a mentor you believe in. Go taste what the real world has to offer, and do not be afraid when things do not go your way all the time, because I guarantee it won’t. What matters is that you strive to be better each day, continue to discover who you are and your priorities (because it’s different for everyone), and work towards that direction. Life’s too short to not enjoy the journey 🙂

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Discover new music, go to the gym, learn new skills, and spend time with the people I love.

Anything else you would like to share?

Use your time and choose your friends wisely. Pray for wisdom and live life with a humble heart 🙂
