What a wonderful start to the year. It was so nice to have the students back in school. Seeing and experiencing the positivity from students and staff and the genuine happiness students demonstrate for being back at school is really gratifying. We got great news on Friday with the message from the IBO that a third student had gained 40 in the IBO examinations. So, congratulations to Spencer, Nasya and Sheryn for their world class achievements.
The parent support group (PSG) will hold its annual general meeting on the 8th of August. The PSG are such amazing supporters for the school and contribute so much to its day to day running. Please take the opportunity, if you are able, to join this dedicated team. The executive consists of:

The PSG will form part of the grade level meetings that start this week. Please check the events calendar to find out what day your child’s information session is. These begin on Tuesday with Grade 5. Please also note that signups for extra curricula activities in the high school (ECAs) begin on Monday.
As you already know we have students successfully applying for and getting accepted into universities all over the world. This is no accident but rather a result of our extensive university application process. We have our first university (New South Wales, Australia) on Monday and our second (Tokyo) on Tuesday. Last year we were able to introduce the students to over 200 universities and I expect this year will be the same or even better.
The senior girls suffered a narrow and unlucky loss last week in the DBL basketball whilst the boys begin their campaign on Thursday. We wish them all the very best. Enjoy this wonderful beginning to the year.
