News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

What a year it has been! Fortunately, in the past few months we have been able to transition into a far more normal type of schooling, offering a wider range of experiences for students and increasing the capacity for the community to interact far more freely.

Congratulations to the Grade 12 recently anointed alumni. Your graduation was a special event. Thank you for the incredible contributions that you have made to the school. It was of particular interest to note that nine of the graduates had been at Sekolah Ciputra for 16 years!  There was a lovely tone to the graduation which in that bittersweet way that graduations always do, remind us both of the great things you are going to do but also about how much we will miss you when you leave. The class of 2022 overcame the challenges that the pandemic presented with aplomb.

This week sees us celebrate completion ceremonies for Grade 10, PYP 6 and the Pre-Elementary. We wish everyone involved success and congratulate them on their achievements. Reports from across the continuum go home this week and there are parent interviews on Friday. If you add “Ciputra’s Got Talent,”  on Monday to the mix, you can see that we have a very busy week.

Our plans are to start next year the way we have ended this one, with full hours and students attending school physically. We will communicate these details during the break as the lesson from the past two and a half years has been to expect the unexpected.

A tribute also to the leaving staff and particularly to Mr Terry the HS coordinating Principal. He has done a magnificent job over the past three years, and we wish him well for his promotion.

Please have a safe and happy break. We look forward to the 2022/2023 school year!
