News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear students, staff, parents, alumni and the whole Sekolah Ciputra community,

A huge congratulations to the whole community for a wonderful bazaar. There was an amazing community spirit with a combination of outside vendors and performers as well as a large helping of Sekolah Ciputra talent. It was so nice to see all ages of our community enjoying themselves and sharing around the themes of eco friendliness and entrepreneurship. The success of this event is largely owed to the PSG who have put in a huge amount of time and effort into its organisation and implementation. I can honestly say that this is actually the tip of a very large iceberg with the PSG contributing positively to both the social and academic side of school life.

On the theme of thanks well done to everyone involved with the very successful parent/teacher /student conferences last week. There was a huge turn out from students and parents which means that much invaluable guidance, feedback, feed-forward and advice was given and received. This type of critical reflection enhances everyone’s capacity to focus on the important parts of teaching and learning. As we so often say, there are huge amounts of support in the school available, from tutorials to supervised homework sessions. Students should look to take advantage of these.

The school is hosting a massive university fair on Thursday which will feature 60 universities from around the world and Indonesia. This is available to our parents and students through the day and then will be opened up to the wider community in the afternoon. The information here will be invaluable in helping students with their university selections.

Finally look out for the Grade 4 Kidpreneur Fair on Thursday. You will be amazed by the innovation these students demonstrate as well as the depth of their financial literacy.

Have a great week!
