Theatre

Sekolah Ciputra Performing Arts offers a dynamic and inspiring programme that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and artistic excellence. Each year, the department presents a full calendar of theatrical events, culminating in our flagship School Production, a large-scale performance involving more than one hundred students. Past productions have included beloved titles such as Grease, Oliver, Dig It, Rara Mendut, Macan Hok kian, Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, and High School Musical, all brought vividly to life with exceptional energy, imagination, and professionalism. This year, students continue to take the lead in initiating and developing productions, ensuring that every performance reflects their passion and creativity.

In addition to the main production, the Performing Arts department stages a festive Christmas Concert, showcasing a wide range of performances from the Music and Theatre programmes. These events provide students with invaluable opportunities to develop confidence, refine their performance skills, and share their talents with the wider school community.

Students benefit from excellent facilities, including a dedicated theatre room for class practice and rehearsal, and the impressive Ciputra Hall, a professional stage where students bring their performances to life.

Within the classroom, students from Early Years through to the Middle Years Programme explore a rich variety of theatrical styles and techniques. Their learning follows the full creative process: investigating theatre traditions and practitioners, developing skills in acting, voice, movement, and ensemble work, performing their creations on stage, and reflecting on their artistic choices and progress. This holistic approach nurtures not only technical ability but also creativity, self-expression, and a deep appreciation for the performing arts.

Sekolah Ciputra Performing Arts inspires students to become confident, imaginative, and expressive artists, ready to shine on every stage and embrace the transformative power of theatre.
