Visual Art

At Sekolah Ciputra, students from Early Years through to the Diploma Programme engage in an inspiring Visual Art curriculum that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression. Our programme is designed to ignite curiosity, develop technical skills, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the visual arts.

Students explore a wide range of media and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media. They begin by investigating artistic concepts and exploring materials, then develop their skills through guided practice and experimentation. Students have the opportunity to create, exhibit, and share their work, with regular school-wide exhibitions such as the Literacy Art Exhibition, showcasing work from PYP to MYP students, and the DP Visual Art Exhibition, which forms part of the Diploma examination requirements. Each project concludes with reflection, enabling students to evaluate their creative choices and progress.

Visual Art at Sekolah Ciputra goes beyond preparing students to become practising artists. It also equips them with the creative thinking, problem-solving, and design skills needed for a wide range of professional careers, including Design Communication Visual, animation, architecture, interior and exterior design, and many other creative fields. Through workshops, exhibitions, and collaborative projects, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, take creative risks, and develop a personal artistic voice.

By fostering both technical mastery and imaginative thinking, Sekolah Ciputra empowers students to become confident, reflective, and innovative creators, ready to thrive as artists and professionals in an ever-evolving creative world.
