Christened a “Model UN Superpower” by the Huffington Post, Alma College invites high school students from across the globe to participate in the annual Global Challenge in Michigan. The Global Challenge simulates a United Nations Security Council crisis, providing attendees with the opportunity to develop a better understanding of the way in which UN representatives work through negotiations, speeches and drafting resolution sessions.

In Semester 1 of this school year, I thankfully received a scholarship to attend Alma College’s Global Challenge during the summer of 2018. Needless to say, I am incredibly excited to work with Alma College’s current student mentors and faculty members to further refine my research, public speaking and leadership skills over the course of this week-long programme.

To Mr. Hagen, Mr. Brookes, Mr. Martin, Mr. Bret and my Sekolah Ciputra MUN family, thank you, for it is your tremendous support that enabled me to receive this generous scholarship in the first place.

To you, dear reader, have a truly wonderful summer break, whether that is one spent drafting resolutions as I will be in the week ahead, traveling, spending quality time with loved ones in the comforts of your home or simply enjoying good books and movies. See you in the 2018-2019 academic year!
