Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

Last weekend was action packed at school with our annual scholarship testing and the Sekolah Ciputra Model United Nations (SCMUN).  The SCMUN was a magnificent event.  Delegates from many different schools negotiated and debated on the topic of “Our Planet – Our Future”. MUN involves and teaches participants speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking teamwork, and leadership abilities. I was impressed seeing the development and growth in confidence and assurance in our students. The skills of research, negotiation and deal making are invaluable, as are those of public speaking. Special thanks to all the staff and students who attended and spent the weekend supporting the students. Mr Wayne has helped establish and build the SCMUN and has developed a great support team. Many thanks Wayne and to Judy, the General Secretary, on a job well done.

We had 35 students sit their scholarship screening examinations on Saturday morning. The calibre of students applying is very high. The shortlisting process has started which will be followed by an interview. A key component of the scholarship selection is that students are can demonstrate how they, through their actions, support the vision of the school.

Finally, we have sent three formal messages out to the school community regarding the Coronavirus.  The information remains unchanged at this stage; keep calm yet vigilant of any health concerns. The school continues to liaise with health and educational authorities and will keep communicating with you.

Have a great week.
