Posting this message in the last week of the school term is a reminder of just how quickly the school year passes and how important it is to make the most of our opportunities.

This week the High School students are attending their annual camps. This is a great opportunity to enjoy education outside the classroom. The camps also have a strong service aspect. Each year level participate in helping a local organisation in every camp destination. There is also a strong enterprise theme with all the camps studying a local/regional industry. Thank you to all the organisers and a big thank you to the parent volunteers who worked with the Health and Safety Sub-Committee and myself to review the Risk Assessment and Management forms (RAMs) for each camp. This gave us a unique perspective on the individual concerns that parents have and is another example of increased parental participation in the day to day running of the school.

The parent workshop last week was facilitated by the Parent Support Group (PSG) who really are focussed on building stronger relationships between the parents and the school.AThe PSG will continue to be involved in organising future cross school workshops. I look forward to seeing you at the next workshop on a?Cyber Safetya?. This will be held on Tuesday, 17th October from 7:35 am a 8:30 am in the Borobodur Room. This is a very topical subject that is appropriate for parents of students of all ages.

It was great to see PYPas participation in JISMO. The students put in a lot of study and training for this event. We wish you all the best for your results that will be announced in October.

Have a great week and best wishes for a happy holiday.
