Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

Welcome back everyone. I hope you all had a restful holiday and had the opportunity to meet safely with family and loved ones. Term 4 is very much the business end of our year. The focus for our students will be getting the best possible academic results. There is plenty of time and support to make positive changes. Please take the time to reflect upon where you are and what you want to achieve. As ever our teachers and counsellors will be more than willing to provide support in helping you to achieve and even exceed your goals.

There were two major events at the end of the last term. The arts festivals and exhibitions were outstanding with students demonstrating just how capable and creative they are. The MYP Personal Project really showcased the abilities of our students. The level of innovation and creativity was outstanding and the level to which our students were engaged with their work was wonderful to witness. We also give a huge thank you to the staff who organised the virtual format and helped give these projects a vice. It is also nice to see that several students will, under the auspices of our entrepreneurship team, keep their projects going on into Grade 11. This very much fits with our ethos of learning, not just for school but for the real world.

Please enjoy the opportunities the upcoming term offers. Ask for the support you need. As things stand, we look forward to increasing numbers and hours of face-to-face teaching.

Have a great week!

Martin Blackburn
