Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

We received wonderful news from the IBO this week confirming that our MYP Personal Project results were the best we have ever had. We will publish more in-depth data later, but in a nutshell:

  • Our average score was 5.15, compared to the world average of 4.24.
  • We also had 8 students achieve a 7.
  • 46% Of students achieved 6 or 7.

Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and to the teachers who have dedicated so much time and energy to raise the standard, not only for our students, but for Sekolah Ciputra.

On Wednesday last week we celebrated our last Girls’ basketball game by live streaming the game at lunchtime and dressing up in school colours. It was a great opportunity to build school spirit. That theme continues next week with OSIS organising spirit week with activities like, School Colours Day, Pyjama Day, Character Day and Twin Day. Activities like this make school days memorable and build enthusiasm for learning. This was further reinforced on Saturday when a large number of supporters went to the DBL Arena to see the senior boys convincingly win their first play-off game with some wonderful rebounding and great teamwork. They now advance to the sweet sixteen round. Well done team!

This week we have information sessions for current parents on the transition from:

PYP B to Grade 1 on Tuesday 13th at 10.30

Grade 6 to Grade 7 on Tuesday 13th from 2.00

Grade 9 to Grade 10 Thursday 15th at 2.00 pm.

This is a great opportunity to find out more about these important transitions and the details around the curriculum and the way in which we can support ongoing success and excellence.

If you have friends or family that are thinking of enrolling in Sekolah Ciputra, we have an Open Day on Saturday 17th September from 9am -12noon. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the school and take advantage of enrolling early. We do have a maximum capacity in all grade levels, so come along and check us out. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday.

Have a great week.
