Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

Eid Mubarak!

We wish you all the very best at this special time of the year and hope that you all have the ability to spend quality time with family and friends. Our plans at the moment are to continue to monitor case numbers and the Ministry of Education guidelines. The first week after Eid we will maintain the current school hours but if case numbers stay low after Mudik we will look to reopen for normal school hours from Tuesday 17th May. If this does indeed eventuate, we will pass on more detailed plans to you but please note that over the past 25 months, many of our best laid plans have been undone!

There were two significant celebrations within the school last week. One was the launching of our Sustainability and Service Programme which was featured last week. This focus on sustainability very much fits with the values of the Ciputra Group of Integrity, Professionalism and Entrepreneurship. The buzz of excitement in the school throughout the week was wonderful! Similarly the celebration assemblies for Kartini Day highlight how important it is to ensure that the contribution women make to our society is properly recognised, valued and celebrated. Additionally, it serves as a reminder to be diligent in ensuring that opportunities are available for everyone.

Speaking of taking social action we host our annual Model United Nations (SCMUN) next week which we know will be a resounding success. The calibre of our students is remarkable. We wish them all the best of luck and appreciate the efforts of Mr Stuart and the organising committee. Our thanks also go to OSIS who wrapped up the Sekolah Ciputra Decathlon on Friday. This was again wonderfully organised and proved to be extremely popular and hotly contested by participants from many schools.

We have sent a number of notes home regarding the fact that school will finish for students on Wednesday the 27th at 12pm because staff will be taking their annual English language test. We hope the students enjoy this opportunity and wish our staff all the very best with the test.

Have a great week and a wonderful break.
