Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
Thank you to everyone who came out over the past few days to support the Expo at Ciputra World Mall. I’ve enjoyed getting to see our students performing on stage and interacting more with our parents, grandparents and students (both in the audience and in the booths selling things). Also a huge thank you to the team that took the Grade 6 students to Yogyakarta for their grade level camp last week. Pak Dendy even went straight from the train station to Ciputra World Mall to lead us in a dance on Friday afternoon!
It is another busy week at Sekolah Ciputra, but when isn’t it busy?!?!? We begin celebrating Pekan Bahasa Indonesia throughout the week, with the PYP LRC having a “Book & Pop-Up Market” taking place from Wednesday through Friday. The High School will host our University Fair in the IEH and surrounding classrooms on Wednesday as well. We will have around 70 universities from around the world, and it will be a wonderful event for our parents and students to learn more about what opportunities are available to them.
We’ll host the Senior Sekolah Ciputra Cup Volleyball and Soccer Tournament from Thursday-Saturday, with schools from around Surabaya and Bali competing for the championship trophies. Games will begin after lunch on Thursday and take place throughout the day on Friday, so please be extra vigilant while supervising our students and their interaction with outside teams and their fans. We will also host the JISMO Maths Competition on Saturday, so as always, if you see lost parents, students or staff from our school or other schools, please help direct them to where they need to be.
This week’s articles are focusing on what to do when your students think they already know something and how to use questions to answer students’ questions. Here are the English and Indonesian versions of the videos summarizing them for you as well. Have a great week and let’s go Eagles!
