Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,
Welcome back from the Chinese New Year break.
We all look forward to happier times. What is important however is that we continue to work together and support each other as difficulties arise. Whilst the last year has been extremely challenging, what has shone through in our community has been the on-going commitment to our vision and mission. We have been strong, resilient and kind. I am confident that the energy of our community will continue to lead us forward.
Good luck to the Grade 12 students who have their mock examinations over the next two weeks. These are a very important stepping stone for the students as they contribute to the predicted grade and may be used as part of the generation of the students’ final results. The IBO will make a decision about the examination programme in Indonesia this week and we will be sending information to our Grade 12 parents about our processes for the remainder of the year. It is important that all students continue to do their very best with the examinations, as other summative assessments and internal assessments are likely to impact upon final grades.
It is good to note the range of clubs being offered by the school. These are a great way for students to enjoy new experiences and try other things. It also helps to keep engagement levels high.
So, let’s continue to be prepared for potential difficulties whilst at the same time being positive and optimistic in our outlook. This positive realism stands us in good stead both as individuals and as a community.
Have a great week.
