Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

Let’s pay tribute to everyone working so hard to make school a normal and fulfilling part of life at what is an extraordinarily difficult period. It seems that virtually everyone has been impacted by this latest wave. It has been difficult for families with sections of the school opening and closing for face-to-face learning. We are trying to maintain some face-to-face for students that can come in, but with cases amongst the staff, it’s not always possible. The word “resilience” is used in our vision to describe the sort of character we want to help build in our community. We as a community, with our own individual challenges, are demonstrating that we live by our vision and truly demonstrate the resilience to triumph over the current challenges we face and eventually thrive.

On this note it is wonderful to see that school activities continue apace.  Students switch seamlessly between online and face-to-face teaching. The Grade 12 mock exams are proceeding well and highly organised. The OSIS decathlon is about to start and in the next three weeks we will enjoy both the PYP Exhibition and the MYP Personal Project. We will also enjoy the Continuum Art Exhibition and the School-to-School Conference.

Thanks everyone for contributing to our school community in such positive and creative ways.

Have a great week
