Dear Parents, Teachers, and Staff,

Congratulations to everyone involved with the PYP Exhibition. The students demonstrated the capacity for high level thinking, creativity and problem solving around the theme of the UN Sustainability Goals. We had wonderful examples of student to student and teacher to student mentoring in the preparation phase and fantastic cooperation and teamwork. The student work was thoughtful and provoking and demonstrated real ownership in their learning. There was also a very strong flavour of entrepreneurship. It was a wonderful summative for their PYP years. Thanks also need to go to all the staff who facilitated this including the ICT staff and those who made the virtual programme so engaging. Finally, there are many justifiably proud parents out there. Thank you for the ongoing support you have given your children.

Following on the heels of the of this comes the MYP Personal Project.  Although individual, this features strong elements of collaboration and is built around the attributes of the learner profile. Their virtual presentation will be on Wednesday, 16th of March and promises to be another wonderful summative.

The Virtual Art Festival is scheduled from the 7th – 10th March followed by the Virtual Arts Exhibition from the 10th – 14th March. On the 11th the annual Director’s Choice award will be announced, and that piece of art will be displayed within the school for posterity. Capping off a very busy time, many of our staff will be running workshops for teachers in other schools as part of the School to School conference next Saturday.  It is great to see such a wide range of activities.

Have a great week.
