Dear Parents, students, teachers and Sekolah Ciputra community,
Our grade 12 cohort has finally left for their examination leave and IBDP examinations which begin on the 24th. We wish them all the very best for the next month. The next occasion in which we see them all together will be at their graduation. This will be a wonderful and highly anticipated event.
On Thursday and Friday our grade 7 cohort for 2024-2025 had their induction days in the High school. The participants were our current Sekolah Ciputra students as well as students who have enrolled here from other schools. The days had a STEAM theme with the students involved in a lot of hands-on activities as well as participation in a normal school day for grade 7. This event was designed to help the students make the transition from the PYP to the MYP, to begin to form new relationships and to understand the different expectations in the High School. Our feedback from the participants has been very positive.
Over the weekend we hosted a mixed elementary basketball tournament. This demonstrated wonderful teamwork and commitment. Thank you to the teams and all the organisers who worked on this event and congratulations on the very creditable third place!
Monday sees our students in the school wearing traditional dress to commemorate Kartini Day. Kartini holds a special place nationally and internationally for her work in helping build educational opportunities for women and promote gender equity and equality. This models many aspects of our school vision.
On Tuesday many of our local staff have their annual English language test. It has been gratifying to see the continual positive improvement of results and averages over the years and we look forward to a continuation of this trend.
Friday sees a contingent of Sekolah Ciputra students going to Ciputra University to promote World Earth Day. We look forward to their efforts and are proud of them and the staff supporting them.
Have a great week.
