Being a participant of IASO was a great and interesting experience. I have a great respect and honour to join this competition. This is the first time I got silver in a science competition. When I opened the competition page, at first I thought it’s very hard. As I went through the questions, I started to think that when we focus, it’s not quite so hard. When I watched the medal ceremony, I didn’t find my name in the merit and bronze medal, I felt disappointed. However when I saw my name in the silver medal section, I realized that when I study hard and focus, what you’re fighting for is what you’ll get. I feel grateful for the teachers that helped us prepare for this great competition. I am definitely joining this competition in 2023.

Ian Nathan Layantara – Grade 7D

It was my honour to be given an opportunity in joining the IASO, a competition to test student’s knowledge of applied science. I’ve learned to be a risk-taker especially when I had doubts joining in the first place as science isn’t my strong suit. So I’d like to thank Ms. Wanda and Ms. Tika who has kindly guided me for the IASO. I would also like to thank my Science teacher, Mr. Yohanes for offering this opportunity with me. In retrospect, I’m grateful that I had gathered my courage to join the IASO and I will be looking forward for greater opportunities to come.
