News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear Parents, students, alumni and proud supporters of Sekolah Ciputra,

Welcome back to the new year, new semester and new term! We hope you have had the opportunity of being with friends and family and that you have had a wonderful festive season.

Our first semester finished on a very positive note with the “From page to stage,” celebration. The book fair, Pyjama Day, the students reading to students, the book character parade and the concert were all fabulous events. Reading is of course always important, but it is still nice to single it out once a year to emphasise the joy of reading and to help form lifelong habits.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the parent interviews that were held across the continuum on Thursday and Friday. These provide a wonderful opportunity to focus upon progress that has been made, reflect upon what steps could be taken to improve and to begin the process of implementation. The second semester has a serious academic focus and this reflection process is a good way of preparing for it.

That being said there are still lots of extra-curricula activities available. These range from the Ciputra Cup at the end of the month, the career and university workshop for grade 12 and the Sekolah Ciputra Model United Nations. These provide great opportunities for development.

We look forward to a high intensity yet highly enjoyable term.

Have a great week.

Martin Blackburn

Executive Principal
