Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

Congratulations to everyone for an absolutely fabulous Art Festival. The range of talent on display was absolutely breath-taking and the level of organisation to put it all together in an online format was superb. Our special congratulations go to the continuum Arts sub-committee for their commitment and hard work and to all our wonderful students for their outstanding efforts.

This week sees the Grade 12 Art Exhibition which is a compulsory part of the IBDP programme but also culminates in the Director’s Choice award where a piece of artwork is chosen, purchased by the school, and hung alongside the winners from the last six years in our school gallery. We all look forward to the exhibition and seeing which piece will take its place in the school’s collection.

At the end of the week the school will send the end of term newsletter and also the end of term summary video which will be on the website-a great reminder of what we have done and inspiration for action in the future.

It is hard to believe that this week last year was the last time we were open for face-to-face classes. We are seeing the green shoots of a potential return. We already have a very active school taskforce which has prepared the school for re-opening. We have small groups of Pre-Elementary students coming in to school for play based learning and others in the PYP to use the playground. With the promise of a vaccination programme for teachers, we hope that we can continue with the positive news. In the meantime though, please enjoy a safe and enjoyable holiday and we look forward to seeing you next term.
