News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

Welcome back to the first week of Term 2!  I hope you were able to relax, recharge and spend time with family and friends this past week. It is another busy week for us, with a number of big events taking place. Grade 3 will be visiting the Zheng He Mosque on Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday brings the CAT-4 assessment for Grade 10 students to help them prepare for their DP subject selections.  High School progress reports will also go out on Wednesday afternoon.

Friday will be an extremely busy day for everyone, with the Grade 5 led assembly for the PYP in the morning. High School Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place from 1:00-3:00.  We will have a Debate Info Session with Mr. Ed Williams of the Harvard Debate Council in the IEH for the outside community at the same time, and another session for the Sekolah Ciputra Community from 3:00-5:00.  All students and staff are invited to join it, so please register using this link. We will also start the Sekolah Ciputra Cup Junior Soccer Tournament on the Oval Field on Friday afternoon, so be on the lookout for lost parents and/or students for both it and the sessions with Mr. Williams and help them find where they want to go.  Saturday will be day 2 of the Sekolah Ciputra Cup Tournament, as well as a full day Debate Workshop with Mr. Williams (also in the IEH).  All students and staff are able to join this as well, so please use the same registration link above if you would like to attend.  We will also have our second batch of high school enrollment testing taking place on Saturday.

This week I combined two articles for the videos (English and Indonesian), with the first being about the “October Blues“ many educators feel, and the second on being hopeful.  Let’s work together to make Term 2 the best one yet!

Have a great week!
