The beginning of the new school year was met with some very eager students wanting to join the Wharton Global Investment Competition. This competition is held every year from September to November and is a chance for students to invest into real businesses but on a simulated trading platform. So far we have 5 teams joining with a total of around 30 students! Good luck to those students who will learn about teamwork, investing creatively into stocks and honing their entrepreneurship skills!

Also this month, the school has invited High School students to join the brand new after school entrepreneurship club which will run for 12 weeks in Semester 1. They will learn about how to start a business and create a school business together, and aim to gain the bronze, silver and gold awards on offer from the schools enterprise competition.

Finally, our Grade 11 students will be collaborating with Ciputra University this year. They will have one lesson per week with the lecturers and students of the university. What they learn with the university will be brought back into their normal lessons and practiced. The Grade 11 students aim for this year is to start a sustainable business and pitch this infront of lectures and teachers in order to raise start-up cash and run the business.
