Welcome to Sekolah Ciputra for the 2025 – 2026 school year
We are delighted to open the new academic year on such a strong footing. Our enrolment has risen again, (and at 1297 students is now the highest it has ever been) creating an even more vibrant learning community, and the campus is alive with fresh developments. Over the past twelve months we have completed the installation of lifts in every teaching block and opened our purpose-built Entrepreneurship & Innovation Centre. This year our focus is the development of the new swimming pool and upgrades to the design block, elevators, solar panels, library and science laboratory development. These investments reflect our commitment to providing first-class facilities that inspire both current students and future generations.
Academic excellence and university pathways
The Class of 2025 enjoyed significant success International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) achievement, with every Grade 12 student sitting examinations in at least three subjects with an 85% pass rate. Special congratulations go to our top achiever Justin Salvatore Sidharta who attained a superb 43 points, and to the cohort for raising the school’s average well above the global mean. Our most recent university admissions data confirm offers from leading institutions across North America, Europe, Australasia, and Indonesia, underscoring the global competitiveness of a Sekolah Ciputra education.
Our identity as an IB Continuum School
Founded in 1996, Sekolah Ciputra is proud to be an authorised IB World School offering the full continuum—Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). We are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and hold Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama (SPK) status with an ‘A’ rating in each school division. Membership of the East Asian Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) further connects us to best practice across the region.
Vision, mission, and strategic direction
2025 – 2026 marks Year 2 of our five-year Strategic Plan, rooted in the vision first articulated by our founder, Pak Ciputra. Guided by our motto Non Scholae Sed Vitae Discimus—We learn not for school but for life—we remain committed to a broad, balanced curriculum that nurtures the academic, ethical, social, physical, emotional, and cultural growth of every learner. Child protection remains our highest priority; our policies, procedures, and recruitment practices meet or exceed international safeguarding standards.
A diverse, caring community
Students from more than 20 nationalities and 10 home languages call Sekolah Ciputra their second home. They are supported by an energetic Parent Support Group (PSG) and an ever-growing Alumni Association (SCAA), both of which play a vital role in strengthening our community bonds and extending learning beyond the classroom.
Outstanding facilities and co-curricular opportunities
Every teaching space is equipped with an interactive technology such as Smart Board or large-screen smart TV, and all staff receive ongoing training in digital pedagogy. Ciputra Hall, our 710-seat performing arts centre, hosts school productions and community events using state-of-the-art audio-visual technology. Our new Innovation Centre adds specialist workshops, makerspaces, and flexible studios dedicated to enterprise, research, and sustainability projects.
Beyond the classroom, our students excel in a wide spectrum of activities. Sekolah Ciputra continues to host the Surabaya round of the World Scholar’s Cup, Model United Nations conferences, and numerous national and international academic, sporting, and cultural competitions. Teams regularly advance to Global Rounds in Seoul, Bangkok, Dubai, Melbourne, and the Tournament of Champions at Yale University. Music tuition, over 50 extra-curricular clubs, and an expanding sports programme ensure that every learner finds—and hones—his or her passion.
Looking ahead
Students of Sekolah Ciputra are proud of their Indonesian identity, embody the spirit of entrepreneurship and professionalism, celebrate cultural diversity, and develop the skills, integrity, and resilience to thrive in a rapidly changing world. We believe that every day is an open day at Sekolah Ciputra and warmly invite you to visit our campus, meet our students and teachers, and experience our learning community first-hand.
We look forward to partnering with you throughout the 2025 – 2026 school year and beyond.
