News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear students, staff, parents, alumni and the whole Sekolah Ciputra community,

The Ciputra Cup!!!  What can we say. The first week was a resounding success. This is a student driven event. It is organised by students for students.  There is a high degree of participation and enthusiasm. The organisation is frankly superb with detailed preparation and very little left to chance. All OSIS members should feel very proud of themselves for their amazing efforts. Thank you also to the staff who gave so generously of their time to help supervise.

Last Thursday we had students from across the continuum participating in the inter school golf tournament organised by SES. This follows on from the inaugural event we ran at the end of last year at Ciputra Golf. Our students were magnificent, both in their enthusiasm for the game and also for their wonderful conduct. It is so easy to feel proud of them.

On Saturday we also hosted the brush and harmony workshop-meaning that, as usual our facilities were being very actively used over the weekend.

High school students from grade 11 down should be preparing for their term examinations and their final semester summatives. These are significant academic events that feed directly to the semester and final reports. Note that grade 12s are still focussing on finishing all internal assessment requirements and will have their mock examinations as their final practice for the IBDP examinations.

This week sees a lot of student assessment in the PYP as well as the students undergo their summative assessments. The Bebras challenge, PYP coffee mornings, Grade 12 music recital, grade 10 academic honesty advise and weekend two of the Ciputra Cup round of activities will all be held! Following that we celebrate Global Entrepreneurship week. This will be located upstairs in our new entrepreneurship and innovation building, so lots to look forward to!

Have a great week!
