News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

This past week has been a vibrant showcase of talent, achievement, and innovation across all levels of the school. Our Grade 12 students exhibited their artistic talents in a stunning art exhibition, demonstrating creativity, skill, and personal expression. A highlight of the event was the selection of the 11th anniversary Executive Director’s Award, which will be proudly displayed in the school gallery for perpetuity. Congratulations to the Director’s choice award winner:  Finn Alessa Yolwans  for her artwork, “The Ripple Effect.”

Our youngest learners in Early Years delighted us with their pet show, fostering curiosity, responsibility, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. In the sporting arena, our senior boys, senior girls, and junior boys dominated their respective divisions in the PASS tournament at SIS, displaying teamwork, resilience, and sporting excellence.

In an exciting achievement on the global stage, our PYP entrepreneurship team, Green Earth Enterprises, has been informed that they will receive an award at the global prizegiving of the School Enterprise Challenge. This prestigious competition involves over 200 schools worldwide, with an estimated half a million participants. Having already won the Sustainable Business Award in the regional round, this recognition underscores the incredible entrepreneurial skills of our students and their commitment to sustainability. Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in preparing students for an ever-changing world. Developing problem-solving skills, innovation, and financial literacy empowers our learners to think critically and take initiative—key attributes in any future career.

On Friday, we celebrated International Mathematics Day, reinforcing the importance of numeracy across disciplines. Mathematics is not just about numbers; it is about logical thinking, problem-solving, and making sense of the world.

Looking ahead, our Grade 12 students are fast approaching their Diploma Programme examinations. This is a critical period of preparation, and we encourage them to maintain focus while balancing study with well-being. Additionally, high school progress reports will be released soon, providing valuable insights into student development as we move towards the final stretch of the academic year.

Thank you for your ongoing support in fostering a dynamic and enriching learning environment for our students.

Have a great week!
