News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

We are delighted to begin this week by sharing confirmation of our WASC accreditation for the maximum six-year term. While this outcome was anticipated, it is deeply rewarding to have it formally recognised. This achievement reflects a truly collaborative effort across our entire community — students, staff, parents, alumni, Board members, and partners. Combined with our reauthorisation for all three IB programmes and our A ratings from the Ministry of Education, this milestone further cements Sekolah Ciputra’s position as a world-leading international school. We are grateful for this recognition and approach it with humility and a continued commitment to growth.

It has been another productive week across our community, with students demonstrating focus, commitment, and a strong sense of belonging that reflects our mission and vision.

Our Grade 12 mock examinations are continuing, and we commend our senior students for the maturity and determination they are showing. These mock exams provide valuable feedback, helping students identify areas for improvement and refine their study strategies ahead of the final examinations. True to the IB learner profile, our students are being reflective and resilient, and our teachers remain readily available to provide additional guidance through tutorials, targeted support, and our homework support programme.

Over the weekend, our students participated in a junior basketball tournament, with both teams acquitting themselves extremely well. Beyond the results, it was wonderful to see sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance on display. Events such as these help develop balanced learners who understand the value of effort, collaboration, and healthy competition. Congratulations to all players, coaches, and staff volunteers for supporting another positive learning experience outside the classroom.

Across the continuum, learning continues to be purposeful and engaging. Our PYP students are making excellent progress as they prepare for their upcoming Exhibition, a powerful culmination of inquiry that brings together knowledge, skills, and action in real-world contexts. At the same time, our Grade 10 students are deeply engaged in their Personal Projects, demonstrating creativity, independence, and principled research. Both of these milestones highlight our commitment to student agency and to developing confident, lifelong learners.

As we look ahead, we also take this opportunity to wish all families a joyful and prosperous Year of the Horse. May this year bring strength, wisdom, and good fortune to you and your loved ones. Gōng Xǐ Fā Cái! This important celebration reminds us of the value of culture, renewal, and international-mindedness, aligning closely with our vision of nurturing globally aware and respectful young people.

Thank you, as always, to our students for their enthusiasm, to our staff for their dedication, and to our parents and alumni for your continued partnership.

Have a great week!
