Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

It was a real pleasure to attend the 5th anniversary celebrations for Ciputra Hall over the weekend. The team had lined up a wide range of performances and they were outstanding. It really highlights how strong the performing arts are in our school and what a talented group of students and teachers we are lucky enough to have.

Last week the upcoming examinations were mentioned and I want to elaborate on these. We are a school that prides itself on developing the whole student and giving them as wide a range of experiences as possible. All of this however is predicated upon academic excellence. We strive for excellence and academic rigour. What sets our students apart is that in addition to this excellence, they are taught to think and act critically to the world around them. Our students also have many opportunities and experiences that take them out of the classroom, which is something their peers from other schools don’t have the chance to do. However, at this time of the year the focus needs to be on the academic as the upcoming examinations impact on predicted grades, university entrance and most importantly highlighting any gaps that need extra work. All students at the moment need a healthy balance of study, sleep and eating well to maximise their performance!

Have a great week.
