Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

I was so proud of our school community on Saturday. Sekolah Ciputra facilitated the annual School to School Conference with over 500 visiting teachers coming to participate in a key note session and workshops delivered by our teachers and students. “Manners Matter” was this years topic. Last year in the parent survey we identified just how important it is that the school actively focuses on teaching good manners. We have taken that to heart and have a campaign called “LEARN,” that helps promote the teaching and modelling of good manners. The real proof of this campaigns efficacy were our students themselves who excelled as ushers and workshop facilitators. They did a magnificent job of demonstrating why good manners are such an important 21st century learning skill. Congratulations to the organisers of the School to School Conference. You have given something positive back to education and educators in Indonesia. Thank you to the students who modelled wonderful manners, leadership and the capacity for service.

On a different note, good luck over the next two weeks to our Grade 12 students who are writing their IB Mock Examinations. I hope the feedback you get helps your preparation for the main event.

Finally, we look forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming open day on Wednesday, 20th February.

Have a great week!

Martin Blackburn
