Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

Thank you to everyone for helping to contribute to a marvellous first week. It was wonderful to visit all the classrooms and to see happy and engaged students enjoying well planned and executed lessons. Congratulations to all our newest students who have completed their very first week at Sekolah Ciputra. We know you will experience a friendly and caring environment. A really strong and positive feature of our school is the way that new students, and staff to our school, are integrated into school life and become part of our family. It is also reassuring to know that if your child is experiencing any difficulties settling in, we have a very capable student support network who will work with students individually and in groups to ensure that they have all the backing they need to be successful. It has also been wonderful to see just how good the manners amongst our students are.  As we have said before, possessing and modelling good manners is a vital life skill and is closely associated with the learner profile.

Last week the Grade 11 students had their IB camp where they focussed upon the development of skills that will help them at the beginning of their IB journey. This is important, as the expectations of this programme are so high. The Grade 12 students focussed upon their G4 science projects. A great addition to our programme this year is the shared worship where students take an hour a week to practice their faith. At the end of the week it gives everyone the opportunity to think, to reflect and to give thanks for all that we have. We are delighted to see this as a valued part of our school culture.

Have a great week.
