1. How long were you in Sekolah Ciputra? Starting from what grade until what grade?
I was in Sekolah Ciputra for 12 years, starting Grade 1 until Grade 12.

2. After graduating from Sekolah Ciputra, where do you study? What is your major?
University of Leicester, majoring in Computer Science.

3. What did you do after graduating from university?
After graduating university, I was still job hunting and doing several interviews. After 3 months, I secured a job as a Junior Software Developer at a medical software as a service company specialising in radiology, coding the frontend and backend of the software and providing technical support to clients. Outside of work, I try to be physical by going to the gym and joining running events.

4. What is your current occupation?
I’m a Junior Software Developer at Pukka-j in the UK.

5. What was the biggest challenge of moving to a new country?
The biggest challenge of moving to the UK was adjusting to a new environment. When I arrived, I didn’t know anyone there and so I had to push myself to become active in socialising with classmates, flatmates and many more. Also, I had to learn the UK culture itself, familiarising with its etiquettes, how people interact with their peers and the living experience as well.

6. What do you enjoy most about your new environment?
I enjoyed the walking culture aspect in the UK. Most cities in the UK are small and it doesn’t take long to fully walk around the city centre and also the infrastructure is great for walking. I walked a lot in the UK while going to university/work and hanging out with friends; it creates a healthy lifestyle.

7. In what way did Sekolah Ciputra contribute to your job right now?
Sekolah Ciputra paved the way for me to build up confidence in public speaking. I was able to secure my job from being confident and comprehensive in speaking during the interview and making the conversation flow naturally. Sekolah Ciputra also taught me to become a good presenter, ensuring I present cohesively and maintain good eye contact—skills I now use when presenting to clients in my job.

8. What was the best thing about Sekolah Ciputra? Tell us something memorable from your time at Sekolah Ciputra
The best thing about Sekolah Ciputra was the wide range of extracurricular activities that encouraged us to give back to the community. I’ll never forget the experience of visiting a local orphanage to help distribute food and spend time with the children. It was a powerful lesson in empathy that I’ve carried with me ever since.

9. What advice would you give to a graduating student?
Stay curious and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone as you enter the next chapter. The IB foundation you built at Sekolah Ciputra has prepared you for more than just exams, so trust your skills. Most importantly, keep nurturing the friendships and networks you made during your time at school.

10. Would you recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others? If yes, what would you say about it?
Yes, I definitely would recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others because Sekolah Ciputra offers a truly global perspective while keeping you grounded in local values. It’s an environment that focuses on holistic growth rather than just academic grades. It’s the perfect place to become a well-rounded, socially responsible individual.
