1. How long were you in Sekolah Ciputra? Starting from what grade until what grade?
I’ve been in Sekolah Ciputra for 14 years, starting from Kindergarten until High School Grade 12.
2. After graduating from Sekolah Ciputra, where do you study? What is your major?
I continue to study at Universitas Ciputra, and I’m taking Accounting as my major.
3. Can you please share your experience applying to university?
Applying to university was a mix of excitement and stress for me. I spent much time researching university, determining which major/programs matched my interests, and understanding the application requirements. I remember spending weeks drafting and getting feedback from teachers, friends, and parents. I also had to manage deadlines, which meant organising my time around applications and balancing my regular school work. When I finally decided to enrol in Universitas Ciputra, it was a huge relief because I finally found a suitable place for me to study, but also a little nerve-wracking because every acceptance or rejection felt so personal. Overall, it was a challenging and exciting experience that taught me a lot about perseverance and courage (self-confidence) when deciding to make a decision. I am grateful to have received a scholarship from the beginning of college until graduation. As part of the admissions process, I completed a writing test that specifically focused on topics related to my desired major, accounting. This was followed by an interview with one of the accounting lecturers. The interview was a valuable experience because it gave me the opportunity to discuss my interests in accounting and understand the expectations and values of the university. I am truly grateful for my journey through college applications, a new and meaningful experience for me.
4. Do you get a full scholarship at your current university? if yes, please share your tips
Yes, I received a full scholarship. My tips for getting a scholarship are to study diligently, always pay attention when the teacher is explaining the material, and ask questions immediately if you don’t understand something. This way, you could do your assignments easily and smoothly, and get a satisfied result in every assignment. During the application process, there are two tests that would be given. The first is a written test that assesses your understanding of your chosen major. The second is an interview, where you must clearly explain why you deserve the scholarship. Be prepared to discuss your skills and both academic and non-academic achievements from school to make a strong case.
5. What do you expect to do after graduating from university?
After graduating with a degree in accounting, I hope to apply the skills and knowledge I have acquired to make a positive impact. I hope to begin my career in a public accounting firm, where I can gain hands-on experience in audit and tax services while honing my technical skills.
6. In what way did Sekolah Ciputra contribute to who you are right now?
Sekolah Ciputra has played a significant role in shaping who I am today. The emphasis at the school has taught me to value not only academic achievement but also personal growth and social responsibility. Through various extracurricular activities and organisations, I have developed skills in leadership, teamwork, and problem solving, which have increased my confidence and adaptability. In addition, Sekolah Ciputra has deepened my understanding of diverse cultures and the importance of making a positive impact on society.
7. What was the best thing about Sekolah Ciputra? Tell us something memorable from your time at Sekolah Ciputra
The best thing about Sekolah Ciputra is its engaging and challenging curriculum, which allows us to think critically and apply what we learn in real-world situations. It encourages us to be independent thinkers. However, it is the people there that make the experience truly memorable. The teachers are not only knowledgeable but also very supportive, always pushing us to reach our potential. My classmates are diverse, bringing different perspectives and cultures that make every group project and class discussion interesting. One of my most memorable experiences was when I did an action service where we helped and educated children in an orphanage with my group mates, giving them broader knowledge, inviting them to have fun playing and being able to interact with them. This experience taught me the power of collaboration and being an entrepreneur who makes a positive impact on others.
8. What advice would you give to a graduating student?
Continue learning and embrace every learning experience that comes your way, both academic and non-academic. The learner profile you have developed at Sekolah Ciputra such as open-minded, principled, and reflective thinking is invaluable beyond the classroom. Let these qualities guide you as you face new challenges, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Build strong relationships, seek out diverse perspectives, and remember that growth often comes from mistakes and setbacks. Most importantly, stay true to the values that Sekolah Ciputra and your teachers instilled in you with integrity, respect, and a commitment to make a positive impact. These values will serve as your compass, helping you find your way even in uncertain times.
9. Would you recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others? If yes, what would you say about it?
I would definitely recommend Sekolah Ciputra to others. The facilities provided were great, creating a comfortable and fun environment for all students to enjoy. Sekolah Ciputra’s vision of developing future leaders and their commitment to a well-rounded education really stands out. The curriculum encourages independent thinking, social responsibility, helping students develop both academically and as responsible individuals.
