Welcome back to the new school year. I hope you enjoyed the break and ready for the upcoming year ahead.
Our formal welcome is in the newsletter that will be sent out today, Monday, 31st so I’ll use this message to get straight on to business! We have had an action packed break getting the school ready for this year. I am delighted with the hard work that’s been put into the preparation and excited by the way everyone has joined together to make the start of the year so successful. We know that this year will see us raise our academic standards again whilst at the same time demonstrating that our students can be successful in a wide range of activities. The holiday period saw us achieve world class academic results in the IB Diploma, whilst groups of students demonstrated a commitment to internationalism by attending the World Scholar’s Cup in Hanoi.
Next week we hit the ground running with the first week of school. Extramurally we also have the start of the DBL Basketball and Cheer-leading competitions – I have posted the draw below. I look forward to seeing as many supporters as possible at the games and encourage staff, students and parents alike to purchase the supporters tee-shirt, Eagle Nation. If you are not sure how, just ask at reception!
