Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

Congratulations to all students and staff for the fabulous work with the Grade 10 personal project. This learning journey showcased our commitment to internationalism, entrepreneurship and the development of a strong understanding of the IBO approaches to learning. The range of projects and the enthusiasm of the students was wonderful to see.  Congratulations!

Similarly, congratulations to everyone who helped make our celebration of reading and Book Week, such a great success. Students who enjoy reading tend to actively engage and be more successful with learning overall. Pyjama Day, the book character parade, public readings and the book sale certainly helped foster the joy of reading which we hope grows within our students.

We look forward to our school production “Jaka Tarub” this Friday and Saturday. The public performance is Saturday evening from 7:00pm. The whole team from the cast to the crew have done an amazing job. We wish them all the very best and look forward to seeing you at this wonderful event.

Finally, on a more sombre note, different rumours have been doing the rounds of the school about the Coronavirus. Our advice remains as previous communications, stay calm, yet be alert. We will follow instruction from the Ministries of Health and Education, monitor the health of our students and staff. It is natural to feel nervous when faced with an unknown threat. However, what makes us strong as a school family is the fact we work together to overcome obstacles. If the virus comes to Indonesia, then it will be important that we work together calmly and logically. At times like this our school values should guide the way we think, act and speak.

Have a great week.
