News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

This past week, our PYP students took a significant step in their learning journey by presenting their PYP Exhibition. This event was a celebration of inquiry, collaboration, and creativity, as students showcased their research projects to their parents, peers, and visiting students and teachers from other schools. The exhibition not only demonstrated their knowledge and understanding of real-world issues but also highlighted their ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively—key attributes of the IB learner profile. The assembly that accompanied the exhibition was equally impressive, as our students confidently shared their learning experiences and insights, reinforcing the importance of reflection and presentation skills.

The Ciputra Cup, yet again was a magnificently organised event.  The OSIS team outdid themselves and our teams acquitted themselves well with the senior girls finishing as hard fought runners up.  It was also great to see our teams performing well in football.

Looking ahead, next week we are excited to host the MYP Personal Project Exhibition. This marks another crucial stage in our students’ development as independent learners. The personal project is the culmination of the MYP journey, requiring students to explore an area of personal interest while applying the skills they have developed over the years. The exhibition provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate their ability to manage time, conduct meaningful research, and communicate their findings—important Approaches to Learning (AtL) skills that prepare them for future academic success. Through this process, students develop not only independence and responsibility but also resilience and a strong sense of identity as learners.

Both exhibitions exemplify the core principles of an IB education. By engaging in sustained inquiry and reflection, students strengthen their ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and take ownership of their learning. These experiences help shape them into knowledgeable, principled, and open-minded individuals—qualities that will serve them well in their future studies and beyond. We can also look forward to the design exhibition which similarly challenges the students.

Additionally, as the holy month of Ramadan begins, we extend our best wishes to all our Muslim community members. May this month bring peace, reflection, and togetherness to you and your families.

We encourage all members of our community to support our students in these significant milestones. Thank you for being part of their learning journey, and we look forward to another inspiring week ahead!

Have a great week!
