News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

It has been another busy and rewarding week at Sekolah Ciputra. We congratulate our Grade 9 students on completing their examinations and also in the way they were able to understand and embody our expectations for academic integrity.  PYP students have also just completed their PAIS and PAT assessments. These milestones are important markers of progress, and we are proud of the commitment and perseverance our students have shown.

This week also marked a significant transition for our Grade 12 students, who have now concluded their regular classes and entered a period of study leave in preparation for their IB Diploma examinations, which begin on 28th April. We wish them calm focus and every success as they prepare for this important next step.

Looking ahead, there is much to anticipate. Our Kartini Day celebrations will take place across the continuum with contributions from alumni and a special seminar on financial literacy led by our Parent Support Group. We are grateful for the engagement of our wider community in enriching the student experience.

We will also be hosting a Device Dopamine Detox Day in the HS on Tuesday, April 22nd. On this day, students will not be allowed to bring their laptops, tablets, or phones to school. The goal of this initiative is to encourage students to stay present, improve focus, and actively engage with their peers and surroundings without digital distractions

Grade 6 students will take part in their MYP Transition Day, supporting a smooth and positive move into the next phase of their learning journey. Meanwhile, our PYP 4 and Grade 5 students are heading off to their camps—one overnight at school and the other to Kaliandra—experiences that build independence, resilience and teamwork.

We are also thrilled to present our school production, Petualangan Sherina, this Thursday and Friday. The staging of a production draws on a wide array of skills—collaboration, communication, creativity, reflection and principled commitment, which are reflected in the IB learner profile. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, our students demonstrate the values we strive to nurture in all learners.

As always, thank you for your continued support as we work together to live our mission: developing confident, caring and globally-minded learners who are ready for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

Have a wonderful week.
