Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
It has been another exciting and active week across the school, with many opportunities for our students to engage, perform and connect.
A particular highlight was the PYP Cross Country, which brought together students from Grades 1–6, teachers, parents, and even participants from other schools. The enthusiasm and energy on display perfectly captured the spirit of healthy competition and community involvement that we value at Sekolah Ciputra.
Overall, it was a huge weekend for PYP sport. Our PYP Ciputra Cup basketball team continues to shine, winning the Ciputra cup in emphatic style on Saturday. This feat was emulated by the PYP football team which won the SES tournament! Great sporting results.
This week also saw vibrant assemblies from Grade 1 and Grade 7, both of which showcased student learning and creativity in ways that were engaging and reflective of our learner-centred approach.
Looking ahead, our Grade 12 students are nearing the end of their DP exams, which finish on 21st May. At the same time, Grade 10 and Grade 11 students are preparing for their own exams, which begin on the 22nd and 23rd May respectively. We encourage all students to approach these with focus, balance, and care for their well-being.
We are also looking forward to the PYP Production of Alice in Wonderland on the evening of 23rd May at 7:00 p.m. — a wonderful opportunity to see the arts in action.
Further ahead, the Alumni-Teacher Tennis Event will take place on 25th May, bringing our community together in a spirit of fun and friendly competition. A reminder that 30th May is a teacher-only day, and we are excited to be hosting the World Scholars’ Cup on 31st May and 1st June.
As we move through this busy period, it’s worth remembering the importance of balance — managing academic demands, extracurricular involvement, and time to rest. Our commitment to developing resilient, well-rounded learners means we value not just achievement, but also the personal growth that comes with navigating challenge.
Have a great week!
