News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

Last week we celebrated a significant and joyful milestone in our Early Years and Primary Years Programme as students marked the 100th Day of School. More than a celebration, this event was a powerful learning opportunity that strengthened students’ understanding of mathematics and number through real-world application.

Across EY and PYP classrooms, students explored counting, grouping, estimating and problem-solving through hands-on, meaningful activities. These experiences helped students see mathematics as something that exists beyond the classroom—embedded in daily life. By making learning relevant and tangible, our students developed confidence, curiosity and a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. This approach reflects our commitment to authentic learning and supports our mission to develop capable, reflective and engaged learners.

The celebration also highlighted key IB learner profile attributes. Students demonstrated thinking and communication skills, showed perseverance and risk-taking, and approached challenges with enthusiasm. Events like this exemplify how academic learning and personal development go hand in hand at Sekolah Ciputra.

Alongside this celebration of early learning, our High School students continue to benefit from the ongoing visits of local and international universities. These visits play an important role in helping students and families understand pathways, opportunities and future options. They reflect the strength of our university counselling programme and our commitment to preparing students for success beyond school.

We also continue to run workshops focusing on healthy relationships and student wellbeing. These sessions are an important part of our holistic approach to education, supporting students to develop self-awareness, empathy and positive interpersonal skills—essential qualities for both academic success and life beyond school.

The G12 design students hold their exhibition this week, a wonderful illustration of design thinking and creativity.

Speaking of our Grade 12 students, there is now a need for a heightened focus as final examinations approach. This is a critical period that requires strong organisation, commitment and balance. We encourage students to make full use of the support available from teachers and counsellors, and to approach the coming weeks with purpose and determination. These final stages of the Diploma Programme are an opportunity to demonstrate resilience, responsibility and reflective learning.

As always, we thank our teachers and staff for their dedication in creating rich learning experiences across the continuum, and our families for their ongoing partnership and support. Together, we continue to foster a learning environment that is rigorous, caring and future-focused.

We wish everyone a productive and positive week ahead.
