News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

Welcome back to school following the Chinese New Year break. We hope that all families enjoyed a joyful and restorative time together and we once again wish everyone health, happiness, and prosperity for the Year of the Horse. May the year ahead reflect the qualities traditionally associated with the Horse — energy, perseverance, strength, and forward momentum — all attributes that align closely with our vision for our students.  We also welcome the beginning of fasting month, a time for reflection and renewal.

Before the break, our community enjoyed vibrant and meaningful celebrations led by our Mandarin and Art teachers. The assemblies and accompanying activities were rich in cultural learning and creativity, providing students with authentic opportunities to deepen their understanding of tradition, symbolism, and global perspectives. We are grateful to our teachers for the care and expertise they bring to such events, ensuring that celebration is always accompanied by learning.

A particular highlight was the fabulous bazaar organised by our PSG. Their leadership, commitment, and tireless efforts once again brought our community together in a spirit of generosity and partnership. Events such as these strengthen the positive relationships between parents, staff, students, and alumni that make Sekolah Ciputra such a special place. We extend our sincere thanks to the PSG for their continued dedication and support.

Our Grade 12 mock examinations have now concluded. With this important milestone behind them, the focus must now shift to a concerted and disciplined final effort in preparation for the upcoming examinations. The mock process provides valuable feedback, and students are encouraged to reflect carefully on their results, identify areas for growth, and seek the support available. As always, our teachers are ready to provide guidance, tutorials, and encouragement during this critical period.

Looking ahead, we have several important dates for our community. The Parent Empowerment Workshop will take place on the 17th, providing valuable insight and partnership opportunities for families. On the 18th, students will participate in the Canadian Computing Competition, an excellent opportunity to challenge themselves in computational thinking and problem-solving. We also note that the 23rd will be a Teacher Only Day, marking the first working day of the fasting month, and we thank families in advance for their understanding as staff engage in professional learning and preparation.

As we begin this new chapter of the semester, let us move forward with purpose, gratitude, and renewed energy. Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to our shared mission.

Have a wonderful week ahead.
