Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
Last week was another wonderful reflection of the vibrant and connected community we continue to build at Sekolah Ciputra. A particular highlight was our Grandparents Day celebration in the Early Years, which was a resounding success. It was heartwarming to see grandparents so actively involved in the life of the school, sharing special moments with our youngest learners. These occasions strengthen the important partnership between family and school and remind us that education is always most powerful when built on strong relationships.
The Eagle Sports Awards were a great opportunity to celebrate our elite sporting teams throughout the year and our golf tournament on Friday was a resounding success.
Our High School students also represented the school with great spirit in cross country, demonstrating resilience, determination and sportsmanship. Participation in events such as these helps students develop balance and perseverance, key attributes of the IB learner profile, while also building pride in representing their school community.
We were also proud to host the first of two rounds of the World Scholar’s Cup, bringing together students in an environment of academic challenge, collaboration and international-mindedness. This globally recognised programme encourages critical thinking, debate and curiosity across a wide range of disciplines, strongly aligning with our mission of preparing students not only for examinations, but for life beyond school.
Adding to the celebrations, our Grade 2 assembly was a wonderful success. It is always a joy to see our younger students confidently presenting their learning, demonstrating both enthusiasm and growing independence.
Looking ahead, the coming week will be equally busy. We are excited to host the inter-school cross country, welcoming students from across schools to compete and connect through sport. (Breaking news our students were able to head off the Alumni Challenges to retain the Alumni Cup for another year. Special thanks to James, Jason and David for being such wonderful contestants.) Our DP examinations also begin, marking an important milestone for our senior students as they prepare for the culmination of their IB journey. We wish them calm, focus and confidence as they begin this significant period.
In addition, we have the PYP cross country and the PYP Basketball Ciputra Cup, both of which continue to reinforce the importance of participation, teamwork and healthy competition across all age groups.
As always, our school continues to thrive because of the shared efforts of students, staff, parents and alumni. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.
Have a great week!
Martin Blackburn
