Dear Parents, Teachers and Staff,

This week has seen a lot of quiet reflection with the passing of Pak Ciputra. Our thoughts and prayers have been offered for his soul and also in commiseration to his family. Both the Elementary and the High School reflected on his life and contribution to our school in special assemblies.  The consolation we take away from this sad event, is that we see Pak Ciputra’s vision living in the thoughts and deeds of our students every day. His vision lives on through our students and alumni.

An example of this vision was the celebration of Teacher Appreciation Day last Monday. Both STUCO and OSIS organised events to let their teachers know just how much they appreciate all the things they do for them. What was particularly impressive was the message board put up in the High School to give personal thanks to teachers. The gratitude was obvious and the comments very perceptive. Sometimes even the simplest act of gratitude can change someone’s entire day.

Have a great week
