Sekolah Ciputra is proud to announce the successful outcome of its recent accreditation visit by the Accrediting Commission for Schools of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC). The WASC Commission grants Sekolah Ciputra a six-year accreditation status through 30 June 2032, which is the highest accreditation status awarded by WASC. This accreditation also allows Sekolah Ciputra to remain as a member of EARCOS (East Asia Regional Council of Schools), an organisation that accepts only fully accredited schools.
This accreditation affirms Sekolah Ciputra’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality international education through a rigorous self-study and evaluation process, strong stakeholder involvement, and evidence-based school improvement. The visiting committee noted Sekolah Ciputra’s clear alignment with its mission and core values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship, and recognised the extensive collaboration among the School Board, leadership team, teachers, staff, students, parents, and alumni — reflecting a deeply embedded culture of reflection and continuous growth across the whole school community.
Key strengths of Sekolah Ciputra highlighted by the WASC Visiting Committee include:
1. BROAD BASED STRATEGIC PLANNING – Sekolah Ciputra has a well developed inclusive school improvement process which is collaborative and involves all stakeholders.
2. SUPPORTIVE BOARD – The commitment of the Sekolah Ciputra Board to the IB Mission and the Continuum Programme.
3. CORE VALUES – The integration of the Ciputra Core values: Integrity, Professionalism and Entrepreneurship across all areas of the school.
4. COUNSELLING – A comprehensive Student Support Site with a well-structured SEAL programme provides a strong framework for appropriate interventions based on students needs.
5. UNIVERSITY CAREER GUIDANCE – A systematic and well structured University and Career Guidance programme.
6. ALIGNMENT – Curricular and co-curricular alignment (Exhibition, Personal Project, CAS, SA) which ensures real-world learning connections.
7. STUDENT VOICE – Meaningful student voice and agency as demonstrated by StuCo and OSIS and participation in decision making through involvement with the Ciputra Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
8. STUDENT AGENCY – The Buddy System for new students and peer mediation system in elementary school which supports transition and student social emotional well being.
9. CULTURAL HERITAGE – A strong, inclusive school culture that fosters mutual respect and pride in cultural heritage through cultural and religious celebrations (e.g., Bulan Bahasa, Chinese New Year, Idul Fitri, School Bazaar, Sembako Murah).
10. CHILD PROTECTION – A clear and comprehensive child protection framework aligned with Indonesian law and international standards (ICMEC), reinforced through annual audits, TeachUp training modules, staff declarations, and visible reporting systems.
11. ALUMNI – Extensive use of alumni and community resources (Work Experience Week, alumni mentorship, career fairs, alumni cup).
12. SMILES EVERYWHERE! – A respectful, inclusive and happy school culture.
“Sekolah Ciputra has created a positive, respectful and caring environment for all members of the community.”
ACS WASC accreditation is a respected international recognition that evaluates the effectiveness of a school’s programme and its impact on student learning and wellbeing. It confirms that a school meets rigorous, research-based standards and is committed to continuous improvement.
This achievement is a source of great pride for the entire Sekolah Ciputra community — our students, teachers, staff, parents, alumni, and Board. We sincerely thank everyone for their continued trust, collaboration, and commitment in helping our school grow and thrive. Together, we will continue to build on these strengths and move forward with excellence and innovation in international education.
