Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
This week we proudly place the spotlight on our Grade 6 students as they present their PYP Exhibition. The Exhibition is far more than a final project; it is the culmination of the Primary Years Programme and a powerful demonstration of student agency, inquiry, and action. Through assemblies and formal presentations, our students will share months of research, collaboration, reflection, and problem-solving. They have explored real-world issues, engaged with mentors, and considered how their learning can make a meaningful difference.
The philosophy of the PYP Exhibition reflects our mission and vision in action. Students are challenged to be inquirers, communicators, principled thinkers, and reflective learners. They learn that knowledge is not simply something to acquire, but something to apply responsibly. What has been particularly impressive this year is our students’ commitment to excellence. They have shown resilience when research became challenging, integrity in acknowledging sources, and confidence in presenting their ideas. We encourage all parents and members of our community to attend the assemblies and presentations to celebrate this important milestone in their learning journey.
Looking ahead, our MYP Personal Project presentations are also approaching. Like the Exhibition, the Personal Project represents a significant independent learning experience. Our Grade 10 students are refining their products and reports, demonstrating creativity, perseverance, and the ability to manage long-term goals — all key attributes of the IB learner profile.
On Friday, we will host a University Mini Fair, providing valuable guidance and inspiration for our High School students as they consider future pathways. These opportunities form part of our strong university counselling programme and reinforce our commitment to preparing students for success beyond Sekolah Ciputra.
Finally, sincere thanks to our wonderful Parent Support Group for organising last week’s inter-school padel competition. Their ongoing leadership and generosity of time continue to strengthen relationships across our community and enrich the experiences we offer our students.
It is a week that truly reflects inquiry, excellence, and partnership — the hallmarks of our school.
Have a great week!
Martin Blackburn
Executive Principal
