Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,
It has been another inspiring week in our school community, highlighted by the outstanding Grade 12 Visual Arts Exhibition. The quality of work on display reflected both the creativity and discipline that our students have developed throughout their studies. Visitors were able to appreciate a diverse range of artistic styles and themes, each piece representing months of careful inquiry, experimentation and reflection.
A special congratulations goes to the recipients of this year’s Executive Director’s Awards, whose works will become part of the school’s permanent art collection: Bridget Eugenia Evann (1st place), Victoria Elaine Santosa (2nd place), and Angeline Virginia Wong (3rd place). Their work will now join the growing collection displayed at the SMA entrance, where it continues to inspire students and visitors alike. This wonderful tradition has now been part of Sekolah Ciputra for 13 years, and the collection has become an impressive visual record of the artistic excellence of our students over time. Congratulations to all of our Grade 12 artists and their teachers for such a memorable exhibition.
Over the weekend, we were also delighted to host a major professional development event led by renowned international educator Julie Stern, focusing on concept-based learning. More than 100 members of our staff dedicated their weekend to this learning opportunity, demonstrating once again their commitment to professional growth and excellence in teaching. We are very grateful that EARCOS selected Sekolah Ciputra to host this event, which brought participants from across Indonesia and overseas. Opportunities such as these ensure that our teaching practices remain aligned with the very best international educational thinking.
Looking ahead, the major academic milestone next week will be the MYP Personal Project presentations. This important experience reflects our mission and vision by encouraging students to pursue independent inquiry, apply their learning in meaningful ways, and demonstrate perseverance and creativity. It is always inspiring to see the range of ideas and passions our students explore through this process.
Next week will also see sign-ups for our Extracurricular Activities (ECAs) across the school, providing students with opportunities to develop new skills and interests. Selected Grade 9 students will participate in the Academic Competency Simulation, and we look forward to the PYP Art Auction, another wonderful celebration of creativity and community involvement.
Thank you, as always, to our students, staff, parents and alumni for contributing to the vibrant life of Sekolah Ciputra.
Have a great week!
Executive Principal
