News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear parents, students, teachers and alumni of Sekolah Ciputra,

This week continued to demonstrate the extraordinary breadth of opportunities available to our students, both academically and beyond the classroom.

A significant event this week was our participation in the EAPISA meeting, an association of schools from across the Asia-Pacific region that organises sporting and other inter-school competitions. Having already attended one international event this year, we are excited by the growing opportunities for our students to compete and collaborate internationally. Experiences such as these reinforce our commitment to international-mindedness and help students develop confidence, resilience and cultural understanding in authentic global contexts.

Our community was also treated to the wonderful spectacle of Ciputra’s Got Talent, which showcased a stunning array of talent from students across the school. Just as impressive as the performances themselves was the positivity and enthusiasm of the audience, whose encouragement and support created a truly uplifting atmosphere. As a judge this was a wonderful experience!

Our DP examinations are continuing, and we commend our Grade 12 students for the perseverance and maturity they are showing during this demanding period. It is important to note that once the DP examinations conclude, we move directly into examinations and final summative assessments for many students across the rest of the school. We therefore encourage all students to remain organised, focused and proactive in seeking support where needed.

The PYP inter-school cross country was another major highlight of the week and a wonderfully organised event. It was particularly pleasing to see students challenging themselves while also competing positively alongside their peers, both within their houses and against students from other schools. The event reflected the values of perseverance, balance and healthy competition that are central to our philosophy.

Looking ahead, next week brings STUCO Election Day, an important opportunity for students to engage in authentic democratic processes and exercise student voice and agency. We also look forward to another Parent Empowerment Workshop, continuing the strong partnership between school and home that contributes so much to student success.

On Monday and Tuesday OSIS hosts the “Round the World,” bazaar which is a great opportunity for the students to stretch their entrepreneurial muscles!

Thank you, as always, to our students, staff, parents and alumni for helping make Sekolah Ciputra such a vibrant and supportive learning community.

Have a great week!
